“So it is said if know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss” – Sun Tzu

I believe that everyone has a right to information and that quality assessment, analysis and coaching should not be confined to a select few, but freely available to all players, coaches and managers. Whether you are involved in school, club, community, rural, representative, national or international sport everyone can benefit from a greater awareness of their sport.

Profiling

In conjunction with all of our services a player or team profile will be created and presented in an easy to read manner, providing a comprehensive analysis or a personalised profile tailored to suit your own key performance indicators.

Statistical Analysis

With the "Moneyball" revolution comes a greater need to understand what is really going on in sporting performance. Sport is a numbers games. Averages, scoring percentages, strike rates and thats just the basics. When it comes down to it the team who scores more than its opposition is the winner. Numbers decide results. Our statistical analysis provides you with all the information you need to back up your own gut instinct but also to reveal patterns that you wouldn't otherwise see.

           Visual Training

"Get your eye in", "Keep your eye on the ball". What do these phrases mean? Is there a scientific explanation for these ideas?

Sports are very visually demanding requires an athlete to judge the speed and direction of balls travelling both towards and away from themselves at short and long distances. The purpose of visual training is to increase a player’s depth perception and visual tracking skills. This allows them to judge the speed of a ball, notice any change of direction and then be able to react as quickly as possible, executing the desired movement of hands and body. In order for this to happen the eyes need to be able to converge and diverge at any distance or angle, from directly in front of their face to the boundary.

Every athlete involved in ball sports can benefit from visual training; not just those who have discernable deficiencies. Visual training allows players to have confidence in their visual ability, affording a complete focus on the game rather than their own visual faults.

Specialised Coaching

Analysis and assessment are only useful if a player can utilise that information in their game. Therefore we can also provide specialised one on one coaching or coaching for small groups. This affords the players time to work on their game that they would not otherwise have at their local club or school training.

Fitness Testing & Training

Want a sport specific fitness program? We can test you for key fitness components related to your sport and the position you play in the team and then design and implement a program to help you reach your goals.

Biomechanical Assessment

Biomechanics pretty simply is the physics of movement. By analysing your movement patterns an assessment can be made on efficiency of movement and force production, essentially how you can more effectively execute a skill. Using this information allows a more complete understanding of the physical demands on the body and the likelihood of injury as well as improvement in performance.

Postural Examination and Somatotyping

This is a science of body types. By understanding what sort of body you have we can more accurately determine physical and sporting capabilities. This takes into account BMI, body fat %, muscular imbalances etc.

Periodisation Planning

Periodisation planning is a process of collating all available data about forthcoming events and competitions, fitness programs, club trainings etc. and fitting all of these into a tailor made program aimed to help you reach your performance and personal goals.
